Ecrin

An écrin is the case a jeweller keeps the finished work in, and the collection takes both its name and its idea from that. The patterns carry the names of famous stones and places: Koh-i-Noor, Dresden, Kashmir, tourmaline and the Place Vendôme in Paris.

Eight surfaces where relief and metallic ink give each pattern its own light: silver, copper, mother of pearl and a deep green. Carat and Dresden repeat the same swirling relief, the second one under a metal finish. Kashmir and Gemmae run in soft flowing lines. Vendôme and Tourmaline spread out as fans. Strié and Kohinor bring the rhythm of a stripe and of gathered cloth onto the wall.
